Mr. McConn has tried hundreds of cases before courts
and juries, including matters involving negligence, products liability,
personal injury and wrongful death, professional liability, insurance
coverage and bad faith, and defamation.
For the past thirty years, the better part of his practice
has been dedicated to the trial of complex commercial cases involving
securities, oil and gas, intellectual property, contracts, fraud,
business torts, banking and finance, lender liability, antitrust violations,
shareholder derivative actions, corporate director and officer liability,
and international law. In
addition, he has handled matters
involving energy, banking, insurance, and securities regulation by
both State and Federal authorities.
Mr. McConn’s geographical area of practice encompasses the
State and Federal Courts in and around Houston, Texas, as well as
throughout Texas and the United States.
He has also handled arbitration and regulatory proceedings
throughout the United States and in Europe.
In addition to his trial practice, Mr. McConn is available
to serve as a mediator, arbitrator, expert witness, and court-appointed
special master. |

Mr. Swonke’s principal practice areas include oil and
gas law, corporate structure and governance, and mergers and acquisitions.
He has negotiated and drafted oil and gas contracts with the
governments of Africa, Argentina, Denmark, and the Dutch North Sea.
Mr. Swonke also has conducted mergers and acquisitions involving,
among other things, domestic and international oil and gas properties.

WESTMORELAND,
born Lubbock, Texas, May 15, 1951; admitted to bar, 1976, Texas.

high honors 1973); University of Texas (J.D., with honors 1976).

Arbitrator, National Futures Association.
Mr. Westmoreland was formerly a partner with the law
firm of Andrews & Kurth, and he is licensed to practice in all
Texas federal and state courts, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals
and the United State Supreme Court.
He has extensive experience in securities, antitrust, contract,
commercial, and business tort litigation.
He has handled numerous appeals in the federal appellate courts.

Mr.
Crain began his legal career as a White House appointee in the Reagan
Administration, serving as a lawyer in the Labor and Commerce Departments
in Washington, D. C. In
1987, Mr. Crain returned to Houston to practice law, specializing
in commercial litigation.
Mr. Crain has handled a wide variety of commercial disputes,
including real estate, oil and gas, securities, employment, business
torts, contracts, construction, banking and finance.
